Our team, due to the experience of some of its members as general counsels in oil and gas companies, has developed a recognized expertise in oil and gas law.
The firm assists and represents independent exploration and production oil and gas companies, both French and foreign, which operate in Metropolitan France, French overseas territories and French-speaking Africa in various practice areas such as:
- application for licences, mining works opening statement, assignment of mining titles, relations with relevant state authorities, due diligence of status of mining titles;
- negotiation and drafting of oil and gas contracts (production sharing agreements, joint operating agreements, funding agreements…);
- negotiation and drafting of oil and gas - related contracts.
Besides, we also assist emerging countries in the process of setting out oil regulations and/or standard oil and gas contracts.
Our team frequently handles domestic or international arbitral proceedings, in particular before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), regarding the performance of these contracts.
